Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi has inspired people worldwide and has also deeply influenced The Sirri Saqti Foundation. Among the many lessons we can learn from the Mahatma, the one that resonates most with us is the value of empathizing with the underprivileged.In today's world, where the gap between the rich and the poor is vast, the underprivileged often have to fight for their rights alone, with few willing to listen and understand their struggles. At TSSF, we aspire to be a comforting shoulder, an understanding friend, and a true ally to these individuals. Through our efforts, we hope to honor Gandhi's legacy by standing in solidarity with those in need and working towards a more just and compassionate society.
Narayana Krishnan
With a degree in hand and a promising future ahead, Narayanan was set to become an award-winning chef at a 5-star restaurant in Switzerland. However, a simple walk through the streets of his hometown, Madurai, India, changed his plans forever.During that walk, Narayanan encountered an elderly man lying by the roadside, starving and filthy. Moved by compassion, Narayanan reached out, and the old man placed his frail, dirty hand in Narayanan’s. This profound moment was a turning point for Narayanan. He decided then that dedicating his life to helping those in need would bring him the happiness and fulfillment he had never felt before.Narayanan Krishnan went on to receive the CNN IBN Impact Hero award in 2010. At The Sirri Saqti Foundation (TSSF), we applaud Narayanan Krishnan's incredible work as a social changer and recognize him as a profound inspiration to us and many others. His story reminds us of the power of empathy and the impact one individual can make in the world.

Mother Teresa, a Nobel Peace Prize winner and beloved resident of Kolkata, is a local inspiration for us. Her teachings emphasize seeing the inherent goodness and humanity in every person, regardless of their circumstances.She exemplified boundless love and compassion, willingly embracing even the most challenging cases under the belief that she was called by a higher purpose to help. Mother Teresa's emphasis on doing small acts of kindness with great love laid the foundation for an organization that continues her mission long after her passing.At The Sirri Saqti Foundation, we aim to follow in her footsteps by building an organization that fosters compassion, kindness, and service to others. Through our efforts, we aspire to become better citizens, better human beings, and contribute to making the world a more compassionate and inclusive place for all.
Muhammad Yunus
Muhammad Yunus, a Bangladeshi banker, economist, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, revolutionized the field of economics with his pioneering work in microcredit and microfinance. As a professor of economics, he developed these concepts to provide loans to entrepreneurs who were too impoverished to access traditional banking services.In 2006, Yunus and Grameen Bank were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their groundbreaking efforts in utilizing microcredit to foster economic and social development at the grassroots level.Inspired by Yunus's visionary approach, The Sirri Saqti Foundation (TSSF) adopted a livelihood enhancement model aimed at empowering individuals through similar principles of economic inclusion and social upliftment. We draw inspiration from Yunus's dedication to creating positive change from the ground up, and strive to emulate his impactful contributions to society.
